Appraise the evidence critically

📝 Critical appraisal is an essential step but occurs after evidence has been collected in response to a specific clinical question.

📝 You cannot appraise evidence effectively without first knowing what question you are trying to answer.

Implement the evidence into practice

📝 Implementation comes later in the EBP process, after the question has been formed and evidence has been searched and appraised.

📝 Implementing evidence without this process can lead to inappropriate or non-contextual practice changes.

Disseminate the findings to peers

📝 Dissemination is usually one of the final steps, after changes have been implemented and outcomes evaluated.

📝 It is important for sharing knowledge, but it is not the starting point of EBP.
